Product overview

Flowtrecs Wave combines fuel measurement, engine data and safety functions on a bright 4.3-inch touchscreen. Its waterproof IP68 housing is designed for exposed helm positions. The system supports configurations with 1, 2 or 4 FS-40 sensors.

Key features

  • Supports 1, 2 or 4-sensor variants: 1 for one petrol engine, 2 for two petrol engines or one diesel engine, and 4 for two diesel engines.

  • Shows consumption, fuel economy in km/l, fuel remaining, range, speed, RPM, voltage and engine hours.

  • Built-in GPS supports speed measurement and trip statistics.

  • Anchor alarm and MOB functions assist at rest and in an emergency.

  • The capacitive screen provides quick access to clear instrument views.

  • The sensor kit is factory-calibrated and configured for the ordered version. No manual calibration or selection of sensor type, range or count is needed for first use.

What is included

  • Flowtrecs Wave display.
  • FS-40 sensors: 1, 2 or 4, depending on the selected variant.
  • Connection set appropriate to the configuration.

Connecting the RPM signal

Reading RPM from the ignition signal of a carbureted petrol engine requires an additional Tacho Pulse Limiter. Two versions are available: IN — for inboard engines and OUT — for outboard engines.

For fuel-injected engines (EFI/DFI), a limiter is typically not needed when using a suitable electronic tachometer output.

The limiter is used only for RPM readings and is not required to measure fuel consumption.

Diesel: an additional Hall sensor may be required if the engine does not provide a suitable electronic RPM signal.

System selection

Match the sensor to your engine.

Provide the engine model and count, fuel type, return-line layout and, if known, pump flow. We will help select the right model, sensor count and range.
